The site was started by independent business owners John Calabrese and Linda Edlund. The recent addition of Preciosa is a coup for Calabrese and Edlund, who'sve designed their site to be as user-friendly as possible; it has information on different types of crystal, as well as some history about the gem and the manufacturers that Crystal Nook specializes in.

With all this excess of information, Calabrese also added a new blog in December 2008 to the site.

The blog also serves as a product review site that can help people shop for the perfect figurine that will accentuate their home d's233;cor.

These statues can look great anywhere in a home or a business and I think they really can emphasize taste and elegance without looking tacky, said Calabrese.

As the site rolls into the new year, Calabrese and Edlund have plans on expanding their product line further to include jewelry, which will no doubt have the sophistication that their site currently represents.
