Between now and Christmas 2006, WildFigurines.com will donate proceeds from all of it'ss sales to the Wildlife Warriors, an organization founded by Steve and wife Terri Irwin, for the
preservation of all wildlife.
The death of Steve Irwin has sent shock waves throughout the world, and especially through those with a passion for not only wildlife, but for life itself. WildFigurines.com owner, Dean
Whittingham says, The world has lost a hero. The whole reason we started our web site, WildFigurines.com was to help support wildlife causes and to hopefully create some awareness. This
pales significantly in comparison to the work done by Steve Irwin.
In 2002, Steve and Terri Irwin established Wildlife Warriors Worldwide Ltd, an organization aimed at preserving and protecting injured, threatened and endangered wildlife species. Steve,
up until his death, and Terri remained supporters and advisors, but allowed the charity to operate independently of them, by allowing caring people to become very involved.
Other objectives of the Wildlife Warriors is to protect and enhance the natural environment, create awareness by providing education, the undertaking of biological research, and to enter
into co-operative arrangements with other like-minded organizations.
From it'ss beginning as an online retailer, WildFigurines.com has been supporting the World Wildlife Fund by donating to it'ss adoption scheme, aiding in the survival of endangered
species such as the Panda Bear, Polar Bear and Tiger. WildFigurines.com will now donate proceeds from all sales on a monthly basis to the Wildlife Warriors until Christmas this year.
Steve Irwin will be remembered more for his work with crocodiles and snakes, but his enthusiasm for all wildlife was unmatched.
