The Las Vegas $3 Million International Shootout is Proud to Announce Its Spectacular Individual Matc
Following a month long international advertising and email campaign, the sponsors of The Las Vegas $3 Million Shootout are officially announcing the event in the United States beginning in the January 15th issue of Golfweek Magazine.
"The Las Vegas $3 Million International Shootout presents a world of dreams. There are many great players that have never had the opportunity of playing for significant money and this is their chance," said Tournament President and Co-Founder Burt Kinerk. "We are extremely proud to have been recognized by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and for the use of Las Vegas within our title. We are pleased to present this event at the world's most exciting international golf venue."
The five day match play golf tournament will be conducted over two courses in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 4th though May 8th, 2005. Walters Golf will provide two of their prestigious Las Vegas golf courses to host this inaugural event.
"Walters Golf has agreed to partner with the Las Vegas Shootout and are delighted they have selected two of our premier properties for this exceptional event, said Sr. Director of Sales for Walters Golf Brennan Blednick.
The format eliminates designated professional golfers from the competition and pulls into play the "top gun" amateur, PGA Club professionals or aspiring young professional golfers meeting rigid eligibility requirements for qualification. The entry requirements are set up to create a level playing field for large purse monies.
The sponsors will select from the international field of "top guns" the first 128 eligible contestants to compete for the prize monies specified for a $3,000,000 purse payout. All entry fees will be deposited into an escrow account with Citibank in Los Angeles, California.
The Las Vegas $3 Million Shootout provides golfers the chance to live out their golf fantasies with an opportunity to become an instant millionaire in the process.
"In all of the sporting events I have competed in around the country, I have never been involved in one as exciting as the Las Vegas Shootout. We have an opportunity to truly make this one of golf's great events," said Tournament Director and Co-Founder Nyal Leslie.
