While attending these clinics, players develop playing skills, learn, understand and appreciate the Rules of Golf and etiquette the game requires of its participants.
"The juniors clinics have been such a success so far this summer, we have been booking up as far out as a week before the next scheduled clinic," said Bobby Pearson, general manager of the Myrtle Beach Martin's PGA TOUR Superstore. "It's great to see so many juniors and their parents interested in learning the skills and life lessons golf can teach. We hope the enthusiasm continues throughout the rest of the summer."
The beginner clinics (Mini-Tour) are held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Intermediate clinics (Nationwide Tour) are held from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
There is a skills test for each level at the completion of a clinic cycle. Once a golfer completes all the skills tests from the Mini-Tour, they graduate to the Nationwide Tour. Upon graduation from the Nationwide Tour, each student receives a graduation certificate and a certificate for a free individual lesson. Each level consists of more advanced instruction and harder skills challenges. Students involved in the clinics learn rules and etiquette, which are part of the skills test for each level.
Clinics are being offered at both the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach locations of Martin's PGA TOUR Superstore.
