Tidewater Continues To Be One Of The Best Courses In South Carolina According To Golf Digest

April 16, 2005 -- Tidewater Golf Club continues to be one of South Carolina's top courses, according to Golf Digest's biennial ranking of the "Best In State," published in the magazine's May, 2005 issue. Golf Digest raters have placed Tidewater among the very best in South Carolina for several years, reaffirming their high regard for the course, even as new South Carolina courses debuted.

Often called the "Pebble Beach of the East," Tidewater has received numerous accolades for its scenic beauty and challenging design since it opened in 1990. Over the years, as the course has matured, it has continued to earn national recognition, as well as the praise of both golf writers and players. Tidewater is on Golf Magazine's prestigious listing of Top 100 Places You Can Play in the United States and, in an on-line survey of readers conducted by Golf Magazine, Tidewater was rated 8th Best Course out of the Top Ten Resorts and Public Courses in America. Golf Digest ranked Tidewater among "Top 75 Golf Resorts in America" in early 2002. Most recently, it was named one of America's top residential courses by Golfweek magazine.

Tidewater is located on the bluffs of a pristine forested peninsula overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and salt marshes of Cherry Grove Inlet. It has a reputation for quality service and great conditioning, enabling Tidewater to maintain its position as one of the best golf courses in the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand area.

Tidewater is managed by Burroughs & Chapin Golf Management.
