Emerald Ash Borer Specialist Now Serving Chicago Area Trees



Emerald Tree Care LLC announced today the expansion of its tree treatment services for Emerald Ash Borer into the Chicago area.


    


"We have been successfully treating Ash trees for Emerald Ash Borer in Michigan and Ohio since 2002," said Wayne White, owner of Emerald Tree Care and an International Society of Arboriculture Board Certified Master Arborist. "Since the discovery of EAB in St. Charles, we decided to expand our services for saving trees instead of cutting them down into the Chicago area." As an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, White has advanced knowledge and training in the science and practices of professional tree care.


    


Emerald Tree Care services home owners, associations, commercial property owners and municipalities. They specialize in EAB treatment, deep root fertilization and insect and disease control of trees.


    


The Illinois Department of Agriculture recommends treatment for Ash trees within a 15 mile radius of St. Charles, Illinois. "It is best to begin treating EAB when it is first detected as it will give you the best chance for success," said White.


    


Emerald Tree Care's successful treatment in places such as the Oakland County International Airport in Waterford, Michigan is included in the History and Control of the Emerald Ash Borer video available at www.treeresearch.org. They also have been featured on a Fox TV news affiliate and PBS-TV EAB special and in several major daily newspapers and trade magazines. White has spoken to industry trade groups, consumer shows and homeowners about EAB over the past few years.
