Kris Moe Wines is teeing off with their new wines under the label of 19th Hole. Kris Moe is like many wine enthusiasts living in Sonoma, California, in that he makes his own wine. One significant difference, however, is that Mr. Moe's "day job" is a golf school owner and operator. Kris Moe played professional golf on the PGA tour in the mid 1980's and now runs his golf schools (http://www.krismoegolfschools.com) in Napa, Sonoma and Hawaii.
"We've created our 19th Hole Wine Club (http://www.19thholewine.blogspot.com) for people who love wines and the golf lifestyle. Our club
will enjoy golf trips and events that celebrate golf, wine and great food." says Kris Moe. "In the wine country we'll also be offering wine appreciation classes (http://www.krismoegolfschools.com/Cool_golfgetaways.php) that'll be packaged with our golf schools. In a couple programs the
class will actually participate in the wine making."
The first release is a Russian River Valley Petite Sirah ($35) and Sauvignon Blanc ($18). This year Kris Moe Wines (http://www.19thhole.com) will
throw release parties for its new wines during each major championship (April, June, July and August).
Why 19th Hole as the name of the label Golfers have long held the tradition of the 19th hole, a place to count up the scores after the round, enjoy a beverage and reflect on the day. "I
believe Americans in general need to enjoy a few more 19th Holes in their life. We're all too busy and I want to be part of the movement where we make time to chat, dine and reconnect
with friends and family again," said Moe.
