Libertarian Party of Orange County Fla. Elections Scheduled
The Libertarian Party of Orange County will be holding
annual elections for its Executive Committee at their monthly business meeting to be held on Wednesday, November 16th at 7pm at the URBAN THINK bookstore, 625 E. Central Blvd., downtown Orlando (phone 407-650-8004). There is a parking garage behind the bookstore.
Current Executive Committee members are:
Chair: David Barron
Vice Chair: Jay Handler
Both of these positions will be up for election, as will the Treasurer and Secretary positions. Anyone with an interest in Local, State or Federal politics is encouraged to attend.
WHAT IS A LIBERTARIAN
Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties
