Environmental Racism a Genesis of Illness and Death in Dickson Tennessee



Mrs. Gloria Sweet-Love,Tennessee NAACP State President, will hold a press conference this Tuesday December 6, 2005, Dickson County Courthouse Charlotte, Tennessee starting at 10:00 a.m.

This is a special call to all citizens, especially those residents of Dickson and Dickson County to get involved.



This problem has affected the entire community and it commands community support, not just from those individuals and families personally affected.



It is an environmental racial case because race was a consideration in selecting the dumping site, in disseminating warning information of contamination to the public, and in selecting citizens for awarding compensation for damages.



The Baptist convention is calling for all persons of good will to take a stand. The church cannot ignore this deadly condition that continues to exist.
