Conflicts around the world are gaining critical mass. Dr. Martin Weiss, author of The New York Times best-seller, The Ultimate Safe Money Guide and editor of the Money and Markets
investment newsletter, believes investors should no longer think of these events as a war on terror, but rather as the sparks that could ignite a worldwide war.
's8220;No matter how tired you may be of the drumbeat of CNN or Fox News night after night, you can ignore this danger no more. You must sit up, listen, and recognize it for what it
really is,'s8221; says Dr. Weiss. 's8220;I's8217;m referring to a worldwide war on terrorism combined with spreading regional wars like we's8217;ve seen in Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel,
Palestine and Lebanon.'s8221;
In Dr. Weiss's8217; July 31st report, he cites six important forces behind the conflicts:
>
Economic: With a few notable exceptions, corrupt, filthy-rich despots, monopolists and oligarchs control most of the wealth in the Muslim world.
>
Ethnic: Within the Muslim world, the Sunnis and Shiites are at odds with each other.
>
Cultural: The elites are modern and Westernized while the masses are not.
>
Religious: Islamic fundamentalists clash with more moderate Muslims, and both clash with Christians, Jews, Hindus and others.
>
Historical: The protagonists trace their conflicts through millenniums of battles, wars and massacres.
>
Military: Weapons are plentiful in virtually all of these hot spots.
's8220;In the past, each fissure was on a different plane, with differing consequences, occurring at different times. Now, the globe seems to have rotated in such a way that the fissures
's8212; and the anger they generate 's8212; are coming into dangerous alignment,'s8221; says Dr. Weiss.
