QMIND Design Collaboration Software Now Available on Federal Government...

#8211; QMIND, a leader in design collaboration software for rich media and instructional content, today announced that its flagship product, the QMIND Design Collaboration Platform, is now available for purchase off of the federal government GSA schedule.



Federal agencies have embraced e-learning technology in order to improve efficiencies in government for the training of personnel. QMIND has partnered with Symmetry Services Group located in the Washington D.C. area to list QMIND software and services on the Symmetry GSA schedule. By having QMIND on Symmetry'ss GSA Schedule, federal agencies and their contractors will save time and money in gaining access to QMIND'ss products and services to pursue e-learning projects.



Public sector organizations have embraced automation of training based on the need to demonstrate specific job skill attainment, said Michael Berkley, President and CEO of QMIND. By using the QMIND Design Collaboration Platform, these agencies in conjunction with their prime contractors will be able to become more efficient in creating electronic training content with the participation of distributed teams.



For instance, the FBI offers more than 2,500 courses to its 30,000 employees, and has seen tremendous benefits from e-learning. The FBI'ss Virtual Academy is available to employees on their desktop computers, and it includes performance support tools and instant advice for managers who need information about dealing with different situations, said Jim Trinka, the bureau'ss assistant director of training and development. The recently announced QMIND Design Collaboration Platform Summer 2006 Release (see separate QMIND press release dated July 31, 2006) has extended the core QMIND software capabilities for storyboarding content, review collaboration, and production automation. With this release, public sector agencies will be able to streamline the creation of new content and enhancement of existing content using QMIND'ss new capability for automating the conversion of Microsoft Word documents into interactive FLASH multimedia. QMIND also has concurrently created an open API to FLASH enabling extended multimedia production capabilities using QMIND for government e-learning projects.

The government market also values that QMIND is available as a web-hosted service or in an enterprise server edition which can address security requirements.

The QMIND Design Collaboration Platform Summer 2006 release is available immediately for public sector organizations from the Symmetry Services Group GSA Schedule #GS-35F-0171S. Pricing for QMIND software on the GSA schedule is approximately $1,840 per user based on an annual subscription.
