Excel Meridian Data Inc. Celebrates 17 Years in the Data StorageIndustry



Excel Meridian Data, Inc. (EMD), subsidiary of Alanco Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALAN) announced today the celebration of its 17th year in business.



Established in 1992 as Excel Computer Ltd., the company made its start as a full line IT supplier of computer, software and networking solutions. EMD evolved to where it is today focusing on network attached storage such as CD and DVD server solutions and then migrating to related technologies such as Network Attached Filers, RAID and Storage Area Networks.



Excel Computer acquired the CD-ROM business division (Meridian Data) of Quantum in March 2000, who specialized in network attached optical storage solutions. Excel Computer, Ltd. then became Excel Meridian Data, Inc.



Over the years EMD has been able to stay at the forefront of the storage market by continually innovating and customizing our solutions to meet our customer'ss unique needs, said EMD President Stephanie Moseley. As we approach almost 20 years in the industry, we are so proud of our success and strive to continually add value to our customers.
