The concept of Petsumer Report came from pet owners. Since publishing my book, Truth About Pet Food, the most common question I'sve been asked is to evaluate a pet food or pet treat. 'sIs this food safe's or 'sIs this food healthy's Since this recent pet food recall, pet Owners have realized that just because a pet food has pictures of wholesome ingredients on the outside of the bag that doesn'st mean wholesome ingredients are on the inside of the bag, states Susan Thixton, publisher.

The pet industry itself has pretty much demanded that legitimate consumer information be provided to pet owners, says Susan Thixton. As the world is now learning, the pet industry is close to being completely self regulated. Not just pet food -- but toys and treats and all types of pet products. Similar to typical consumer product information publications, Petsumer Report's8482; stands alone being the sole provider of reviews and ratings for strictly pet products.

Petsumer Report's8482; is written by pet lovers for pet lovers in an easy to understand format with a special Paw Print rating system. Five paw prints being a superior pet product. Reviews and ratings of pet food will list the product name, ingredients, information on US ingredients or ingredients purchased outside the US, human quality ingredients or inferior less than human quality ingredients, the use of natural or dangerous chemical preservatives and an overall evaluation of the quality of nutrition provided to the pet. Pet treats will be reviewed similar to pet foods. Toys, bedding, and various other pet products will be reviewed for durability, quality of materials, construction, and safety concerns.

An introductory subscription price of $8.53 per month is currently being offered. Future plans are to build an online data base for subscribers to have access 24/7 to all product reviews compiled from ongoing monthly reports.
