WAVE1.org Spreads Healing Epidemic

AVE1.org will trigger a healing wave that will make its way around the world, from one time zone to the next. Participants are being asked to do a healing practice of their choosing, preferably in a group setting, from 7 to 8pm. University of Arizona health psychologist, Dr. Victor Shamas, who started WAVE1.org says, "Over the next several years, we will create a number of such healing events. And I am confident that these events will have a major global impact, helping to usher in an age of peace, sustainability, and balance throughout the planet"

January 29, 2008 -- A healing epidemic began to spread around the world this week with the launch of WAVE1.org by University of Arizona health psychologist Dr. Victor Shamas. "As contagious as infectious diseases can be," explains Shamas, "healing is far more contagious. Through WAVE1.org we are releasing two of the most infectious agents ever found: love and joy."

On June 18, 2008, WAVE1.org will trigger a healing wave that will make its way around the world, from one time zone to the next. Participants are being asked to do a healing practice of their choosing, preferably in a group setting, from 7 to 8pm. "The practice can be meditation, prayer, chanting, or just focusing on love and joy for an hour," says Shamas. "Whatever you do, the only thing that matters is that you set your intention on acting as an instrument of healing for the Earth and all its inhabitants."

According to Shamas, the goal of the event is to spread a wave of healing intention across every time zone over a 24-hour period. "We already have participants lined up in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. I expect this event to draw several million people from every part of the world."

The June 18 event was inspired by a Tibetan yogi named Chosyang Dorje Rinpoche who spent 45 years meditating on love and joy. At the end of his 45-year retreat, there were 2000 beautiful pearl-like crystals, called ringsel, dangling from his hair. Shamas observes, "These ringsel were a manifestation of the great yogi's love and joy, capturing his purest essence. "

"We are all capable of creating something that captures our purest essence and that transmits love and joy to others," he adds. "But what do we want to create For many of us, there is only one answer: We want to create healing for the Earth and all its inhabitants during this time of turbulent change."

WAVE1 is part of a worldwide movement that began in 2007, with the launch of a global healing fellowship called Act on Wisdom (actonwisdom.com) in March and the overwhelming response to July's Fire the Grid event (firethegrid.com), which attracted more than five million people.

Shamas expects that the June 18 event will be the first of several organized by WAVE1.org. "Together, we will create a number of such healing waves," says Shamas. "And I am confident that these events will have a major global impact, helping to usher in an age of peace, sustainability, and balance throughout the planet"
