Nine Discovery Land Company Communities named to TL Golfs list of the Top 100 Golf Communities in the U.S.

Scottsdale-based developer, Discovery Land Company (http://www.discoverylandco.com), one of the leading private-club and community developers in North America, has been honored by having nine of its premier golf communities named to Travel & Leisure Golf's list of the "Top 100 Golf Communities in the U.S." - more than any other individual developer. The list appeared in the publication's January/February 2008 issue.

Currently, Discovery Land Company has 16 properties with 12 actively selling. These include: Baker's Bay (http://www.bakersbayclub.com) in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas; Kukio and Kohanaiki on the Big Island of Hawaii; El Dorado and Chileno Bay Club in Los Cabos, Mexico; The Hideaway and Madison Club in La Quinta, Calif.; Mirabel and Estancia in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Gozzer Ranch on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene in northern ID; Iron Horse in Whitefish, Mont.; Cordevalle in San Martin, Calif.; Vaquero in Dallas, Texas; Spanish Oaks in Austin, Texas; and Mountaintop in Cashiers, NC.

Only the top 25 properties were given a numeric ranking. Of those, Discovery had three properties. Estancia in Scottsdale came in No. 11. Kukio in Hawaii came was ranked 17. And, Iron Horse in Montana was ranked 22. The balance of the Top 100 were listed by state. The Discovery properties that rounded out the list included: Mirabel in Scottsdale, Ariz.; The Hideaway in La Quinta, Calif.; Gozzer Ranch in Coeur d'Alene, ID; Mountaintop in Cashiers, NC; Spanish Oaks in Austin, Texas; and Vaquero in Westlake, Texas.
