Los Angeles September 1, 2009 -- Nominations are now being sought for the 2010 Los Angeles Organizing Awards, a one-of-a-kind, public event presented annually by the Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA). The fifth annual Awards will be celebrated Saturday, January 30, 2010 at a new location, historic Raleigh Studios in the heart of Hollywood, California.
Call for Nominations are now open to the public in the first-phase of voting. Nominations are accepted online at http://www.organizingawards.com through Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

by highlighting smart organizing solutions that encourage people to be more productive at home and work. The 2010 Awards Committee now welcomes nominations from any business with a
relevant product or service.
The 2010 Los Angeles Organizing Awards features more than 23 categories, including:

- Best Closet Design Firm
- Best Garage Design Firm
- Best Office Organizing Product
- Best Time Management Expert
- Best Organizing Technology
- Best Organizing Book
- Best Organizing Website or Blog
- Best National Makeover Reality Television Program
- Best Publication Featuring Organizational Information
- The Green Award for Most Eco-Friendly Organizing Service/Product
Nomination Deadline:
Category nominations will take place online at http://www.www.napola.org, http://www.www.organizingawards.com and http://www.www.losangelesorganizingawards.com
through midnight, September 30, 2009. Nominations are open to the general public, NAPO-LA Chapter Members and NAPO National Members, in all categories and will be nominated in an open,
public process. However, only NAPO-LA Chapter Members may vote for special categories, including Most Innovative Organizer and Most Supportive or Organizer-Friendly Charity as listed in
the official rules.
Nominations Review and Selection of Finalists:
Upon close of the Call for Nominations, a special Nominating Committee will review all submissions in the period beginning October 1, 2009 and concluding October 14, 2009. At the
conclusion of the submissions review, the Nominating Committee will name up to five (5) finalists in each respective category. Each of the named finalists will be placed on the Official
2010 Los Angeles Organizing Awards Ballot which will be open for final voting beginning October 15 and ending December 15, 2009. All nominees (and finalists) placed on the ballot must be
approved by the Nomination Committee, the decisions of which are final and entirely within NAPO-LA'ss discretion.
About the Organizing Awards:
The Los Angeles Organizing Awards, now in their fifth year, are offered annually to honor outstanding achievements and contributions to the organization and productivity profession, and
to recognize professional organizers, organizing retailers, organizing products services 's38; resources, charities, technology providers, authors and the media with exemplary
contributions. The 2010 Celebrity Host and presenters will be announced shortly. Production support will be provided by The Dave Linden Group.
Sponsorships:
The Organizing Awards are a fundraising and public awareness event. Produced and presented by the National Association of Professional Organizers, Los Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA), a
not-for-profit organization meeting IRS Tax Code 501(c)3 requirements. Sponsorship opportunities are available and will underwrite production costs. All proceeds from the Awards benefit
NAPO-LA for its chapter educational programming. Benefits of sponsorship include mention in all press releases and prominent logo usage on all promotional materials, invitations and
banners.
