The San Francisco Chocolate Factory has changed its name to Bridge Brands Chocolate's8482;. To commemorate this important event--which coincides with their 9th anniversary--BB will launch a contest on January 18th in which entrants are required to write an essay describing how they have used chocolate to bridge the gap between relationships.
With Valentine'ss Day fast approaching, we'sre reminded of chocolate'ss power to bring people together. The gift of chocolate warms the heart, and the sharing of chocolate creates a bond.
Bridge Brands Chocolate wants to collect people'ss own accounts of how they have used chocolate to bridge the gap between friends, lovers, or even enemies. The best stories will be posted
on the Bridge Brands Chocolate website with photos of the winners. Runners-up will receive gift-sets of Bridge Brands Chocolate and one Grand Prize Winner will win a year'ss supply of
chocolate!
According to founder and CEO Mike Litton, Chocolate throughout history has been used to soothe many of life'ss difficult situations. Whether in love or even international politics,
chocolate'ss power to connect people is known and appreciated worldwide. We'sre looking for chocolate lovers's own personal accounts of this phenomenon. We will take the best stories and
the winners will receive their weight in chocolate and other fun prizes.
The unique contest is in celebration of the company'ss name change. Litton says: We changed our name from The San Francisco Chocolate Factory to Bridge Brands Chocolate because we needed
a name that fits our broad array of products and many that are sold nationally, so the regional name was no longer a fit for us. The San Francisco Chocolate Factory has assembled all of
their products (twenty different skus, from Wine Lover'ss Chocolate to Fair Trade GAIA to the kid friendly got milk chocolate) under one bridge and company name.
Look for contest rules and how to enter information on the Bridge Brands Chocolate web site (http://www.bridgebrandschocolate.com/contest.aspx) on January 18th. No purchase necessary.
The contest winners will be selected by February 12th and will be announced on February 14th, Valentine'ss Day.
Bridge Brands will be officially launching its new name at the San Francisco Fancy Food Show in January. Visit booth #402. This year BB has slated five new products to debut at the show:
got milk chocolate s'smoores, the got milk chocolate straw for kids in single straws and triple packs, got milk chocolate cocoa mug and got milk chocolate cookies, and Cocoa Vinoso
chocolates designed to pair with red wines.
