In a move to provide a healthier sleeping environment for its guests, both the Radisson Cross Keys in Baltimore, Maryland and the Doubletree in Annapolis, Maryland have converted a variety of guest rooms into hypo-allergenic Sairenity Suites bringing the total number of Maryland hotels offering this exclusive service to three.
Each year over 60 million Americans suffer from allergies, mostly at bedtime. The Sairenity Suite program was designed for the hospitality industry to reduce airborne irritants for hotel
guests. The result is an improved indoor air environment that leads to easier breathing and a better night'ss sleep.
We'sve always been a smoke-free environment, says, Mike Radike, general manager of the Radisson. Many of our frequent guests come here because of the great hospital network in the area.
We felt converting five of our guests rooms into hypo-allergenic rooms was a smart new upgrade for our guests. The Radisson has located its new Sairenity Suites on two floors. Guests can
choose to upgrade to one of the new rooms at check-in if available and soon they will be offered through the online reservation system.
The Doubletree'ss ten Sairenity Suites are located throughout the property, explains Pierre Merhej, the general manager of the Doubletree. We want to give all of our guests flexibility on
room size, and location in the hotel. We also service a lot of business travelers and we know that comfortable rooms ensures repeat business. The hypo-allergenic rooms offer a new level
of comfort. The Doubletree'ss ten rooms will be available in the new year and guests will soon be able to reserve them online.
