Ecoms Michael Newman Named Director of System Engineering



Ecom PPO Advisors, Inc.SM (Ecom) announces the promotion of Michael Newman to Director of System Engineering. Newman will oversee the evaluation and adoption of new technologies.

Ecom'ss Chief Information Officer Kevin Calk, states Michael is an incredible asset to the company and deserving of this promotion. In Michael'ss role as Director - Software Engineering, his knowledge and insight of our systems will help Ecom to deliver even better technology solutions to our clients. His contributions over the years have been impressive and certainly appreciated.

Newman joined Ecom in 2000 as the Senior Developer. In his new position, Newman will focus more on emerging technology, technical sales consultation, and workflow improvements. The Information Technology group consists of a software engineering team and technology engineering team.

I am really looking forward to what we accomplish in the upcoming year, said Newman. There is a variety of new technologies that we are preparing to leverage to assist both our internal and external clients in managing their workflows and inventories.

Newman has more than ten years experience in Information Technology. Prior to joining Ecom, Newman began his career in the education industry working with Texas A&M University. Following that experience, Newman worked in the automotive industry building enterprise-wide management system for car dealerships before entering the healthcare industry with Ecom. Newman'ss expertise stretches from business intelligence to process improvement to workflow management.

Newman brings technical experience across various industries and diverse technologies which allow him to provide clients, both internal and external, with first class service.

Newman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. Additionally, he is a member of the Professional Association for SQL Server and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
