Preferred Care Providers will receive an award from the South Florida Business Journal Technology Awards tonight, May 28, 2008, for their use of applied technology. The annual award ceremony, hosted by the South Florida Business Journal, will be held at Improv at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. According to the South Florida Business Journal's Web site, registration and networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a cocktail reception will start at 6:00 p.m.

The South Florida Business Journal's official Web site also says that guests to the awards show can, "Come see the evolution of technology and acknowledge the advancements made possible by the innovative companies who will be honored at this event." The categories for the finalists of this awards event include: CEO/CIO, Hardware, Interactive Marketing, Telecommunications and other similar groupings.

The awards event is sponsored by Host.net - a BroadbandONE company, Citrix and Verizon Wireless.

The 2008 South Florida Business Journal Technology Awards, according to the Southern Florida Business Journal's Web site, "recognizes the accomplishments of companies, CEOs and CIOs in the field of technology."
