Riverside, CA June, 1 2008 -- Jesse Salen, the VP of Sales and Technology at Online Radiology Medical Group, Inc. (http://onlineradiology.com), is a featured speaker at the AHRA 2008 Annual Meeting & Exposition to be held from July 27 through July 31 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. AHRA was founded in 1973 and serves professional leaders in the medical imaging sciences. Through the AHRA Leadership Institute, a comprehensive selection of conferences and seminars, award-winning publications and the Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) designation, AHRA has quickly emerged as the singular association for medical imaging (http://onlineradiology.com) management.
The Conference brings together more than 1,000 radiology professionals and 200 exhibitors in one setting. This encourages attendees to learn about the latest technology, regulations,
staffing concerns and management issues, while at the same time allowing them to earn continuing education credit and also take advantage of networking opportunities.
Mr. Salen is well versed at designing practical economic business models related to technology services. As a featured speaker, he will share real-world tools and techniques that allow
participants to develop their own customized economic models derived from investing capital in medical services. More specifically, Mr. Salen will discuss the importance of an economic
Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for services rendered and why it differs when related to equipment. He will delve into the correct way to create an economic ROI model in Excel
utilizing a pre-defined template with teleradiology (http://onlineradiology.com) serving as one example along with a few suggested examples from
the attendees. He will also touch upon the most efficient way to interpret results of an ROI analysis, how to use them to make a decision, and how to present them to senior hospital
managers and/or officers. The overall goal is to give administrators the ability to adequately and efficiently present an economics savings analysis to senior hospital officers for
purchased services. According to Mr. Salen:
"Technology developments in recent years have lead to an explosion of possible medical services that can be operated in an efficient way by companies that specialize in them from anywhere
in the
country, or even the world. However, it is important to thoroughly understand what the economic impact is to your organization for purchasing such services and to understand if there is
an economic benefit. I am excited to share my research, developed tool sets, and experience with fellow AHRA members to help them with this analysis."
Mr. Salen has developed a unique combination of technology and business skill sets derived from his BA in Physics from Boston University and his MBA from The Paul Merage School of
Management at UC Irvine. He has successfully paired these skills with his practical work at Micrion Corporation as an R&D Engineer, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a Systems
Manager, and Hitachi Data Systems as manager of the Customer Care program. Mr. Salen has been associated with his current employer for over a year.
At present, Mr. Salen is responsible for ensuring fully secure, redundant connectivity between Online Radiology (http://onlineradiology.com) and
