The first free comprehensive Spanish and English dictionary for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch is now available to the public as a service from Velazquez Press, the publishing division announced today.
For the first time, users will have free mobile access to over 250,000 Spanish to English and English to Spanish translations using the new AskVelazquez Mobile
service, said Jonathan Ruiz, Director of Business Development.
"With the new iPhone 3G coupled with AskVelazquez Mobile, on-the-go translating in real time is easier than ever," he said.
Available at m.AskVelazquez.com this iPhone Spanish English (http://m.AskVelazquez.com) translation service is one of many new services and
products Velazquez Press will roll out this year. According to Ruiz, Velazquez Press will release two downloadable versions, a comprehensive version and full unabridged version later this
year.
"This will add to Velazquez's product line which includes a hardcover, mass paperback, world wide and large print edition," he said. "The Velazquez dictionary in hardcover will be
available at bookstores and Costco's nationwide in August."
Aside from the free mobile dictionary access, the AskVelazquez.com (http://www.AskVelazquez.com) this fall will include language tools for
students looking to take Spanish classes.
"This means the service can be used for ordering margaritas in Cancun as well as for completing that Spanish class homework," Ruiz said.
