Chiropractor Dan DeReuter, D.C. finds successful formula in business by catering to the fast-growing Latino market.
The Natural Life Clinic is Dr. DeReuter'ss recently opened office in Dalton, GA.
Some of the things that Dr. DeReuter did to make his hispanic patients feel comfortable were obvious -- Dr. DeReuter was born in Panama and is a native Spanish speaker. My clients feel
more comfortable going to see a doctor that speaks their language, said Dr. DeReuter. All of the employees of the clinic also speak Spanish.
Other things that were done were that all forms were simplified, prices for the procedures are simple and explained before services are performed. The Hispanic population in this area is
generally wary of going to doctors because it is so expensive -- we try to keep it simple. said DeReuter. That formula seems to be working, since nearly 80% of new patients are referred
by someone else.
Initially I may have alienated my English-speaking clientele -- some told me that they couldn'st even say the name of my clinic. Now we have all signs and forms in both English and
Spanish, remarked Dr. DeReuter.
Daniel DeReuter, D.C. has been in practice for 8 years. He graduated from the Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA. He is married to Kimberly and has two daughters,
Chloe and Audrey.
