Brisbane Art Workshops (www.brisbaneartistsacademe.com.au) was initially created in 2007 by Krisstie Byrnne, a professional artist,
art teacher and administrator, to provide beginning students to professional artists with an opportunity to sharpen their technical skills, as well as broaden and develop their creative
and professional practice in a series of weekend and evening workshops. This in turn expanded into the Brisbane Artists Academ's233; in July 2008 when Krisstie partnered with Regina
Dolan, a professional artist and successful businesswoman, bringing together an expanded vision of an Academe teaching Old Master Techniques and skills, as foundational training based on
the famed Julian Ashton School in Sydney and those similar overseas. The forging of this dynamic partnership and a committed vision to bring to Brisbane high quality art tuition has been
well-received by the artists in Brisbane.
