Veteran racer Adrian Fernandez is giving race fans and collectors the opportunity to own pieces of racing history that have never before been made available to the general public.
Fernandez is clearing out race-used items and special pieces of memorabilia from his Indianapolis-based race shop and putting them up for a no reserve auction.
Fernandez Racing has teamed with collectibles auction website GoMotorBids.com to auction off all these one-of-a-kind items, which have been in storage at the Fernandez Racing facility.
Driver firesuits, helmets, crew uniforms, and sheet-metal are among the memorabilia to be sold to the highest bidders.
Fernandez founded his racing organization in 2000, and has since campaigned multiple racing teams at the top-levels of American motorsports, including CART, the Indy Racing League and the
Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series. In both 2005 and 2006, Fernandez also drove a limited number of races in the NASCAR Busch Series.
Next season will mark the seventh year of competition for Fernandez Racing, and also a new chapter in our history as we prepare to enter the American Le Mans Series as an Acura-powered
LMP2 team, said Fernandez. We have collected quite an assortment of memorabilia over the years, and are pleased to partner with GoMotorBids.com to make these items available to our
fans.
All of the Fernandez Racing auctions will have a starting bid of $1, and will have no minimum reserve prices. This policy assures that the highest bidder wins and is one reason that the
site has become so popular with fans and collectors. In addition, each item will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, specially crafted by GoMotorBids.com which employs
measures designed to thwart counterfeiters.
Adrian Fernandez has fans and collectors in every major form of racing, said GoMotorBids.com president Patrick Rainey, He'ss one of the most popular Hispanic drivers on the planet, and as
the American racing industry continues to strive for diversity, we are proud to team with him in this new venture and hopefully can attract more fans from what we see as a largely
underserved marketplace.
With this, Fernandez Racing becomes the latest in a long list of high-profile racing organizations to partner with GoMotorBids.com in auctioning their unique items. For more information
