Back by popular demand, Boomarang Bistro 's38; Bar (http://www.boomarang.com.sg/) is hosting Barefoot Bowls (http://www.boomarang.com.sg/showimage.phpFILE=barefootbowls3.jpg) for the third time at Robertson Quay on Sunday 9 August in celebration of National Day.
Locals versus expats is the theme, so put your patriotic cap on, pair up with a fellow local or fellow expat, and battle it out barefoot on the lawn in a friendly game of lawn bowls.
There'sll be nothing else at stake but your nation'ss pride.
To start the ball rolling, all entrants who register between 3pm and 4pm will receive a free Boomarang t-shirt and a Crown Lager, whilst enjoying a true Aussie-style sausage sizzle (bbq).
Kick-off is at 4pm with TV celebrity judges Jaymee Ong (http://www.jaymeeong.com/), PJ Roberts, and Anita Kapoor returning to host the festivities.
A competition however is nothing without its band of loyal supporters, so not to worry if you think you'sve got two left feet and would rather keep your shoes on. There'ss a place for you
on the sidelines supervising the 'serm cold beers and sausage sizzle.
Says Boomarang Director, Kate McGettigan: Our Singaporean mates love coming down for some Aussie-style bowls, so we thought what better day to stand up against the expats than National
Day!
The winners will be presented with their trophies by celebrity judges at 6pm.
