October 14, 2004 -- Minnesota Hockey and FinnStar Hockey announce the formation of an official supplier relationship. Minnesota Hockey district coaching personnel will be supplied with
Finnstar coaching products and accessories for use during coaching clinics.
"The team at FinnStar Hockey is thrilled to become a corporate supplier for Minnesota Hockey. We appreciate the opportunity to participate with Minnesota Hockey in its endeavors to assist
amateur hockey development and promotions through its volunteer base across the state. All of the members of FinnStar Hockey are or have been active in volunteer services on behalf of
amateur hockey players," said Terry Vayda, President of FinnStar Hockey.
Founded in 1995, FinnStar Hockey is based in Oneco, Florida and Oslo, Norway, with a strong presence in Minnesota. FinnStar Hockey's mission is to create products and services for
athletes to enhance their ability to enjoy playing."
FinnStar Hockey has received an incredible reaction to our products on a worldwide basis. Our patent pending Octopus Carry-All (coaching and referee bag) is the most complete and all
encompassing bag of its kind on the market. The Octopus Carry-All was designed for "hockey coaches by hockey coaches", said Evan J. Andriopoulos, V.P. of Sales & Marketing for
FinnStar Hockey, adding that, "it is designed to carry all coaching supplies with one hand, not eight arms". Our first product, the patented Sockjawz Garter Belt, has been supplied to
several Minnesota teams since the inception of the Minnesota and FinnStar relationship.
"It's a natural fit for our organization," stated Barry Ford, Vice-president of Hockey Operations for Minnesota Hockey. "FinnStar Hockey products will allow our coaching staff to focus
more time on helping volunteer coaches across the state develop their young hockey players."
Minnesota Hockey is the governing body of amateur hockey in Minnesota. An affiliate of USA Hockey, Minnesota Hockey has a membership of more than 55,000 players, coaches, officials and
