Authentic Home Opening Second Home Store Near University Village

May 13, 2005 -- Kathy Banak, owner of Authentic Home, Ltd., a West Seattle interior design and color consultation firm, has announced plans for the opening of a second Authentic Home the week of May 23, 2005. The new Authentic Home store will be located just north of University Village and offers a convenient, accessible location for design and color clients from Madison Park to Shoreline and beyond. Authentic Home was recently honored by Northwest Home + Garden Magazine as one of the "123 Best Places To Shop."

Like the present Authentic Home location at 7001 California Avenue SW in West Seattle, the new location, at 2809 N.E. 55th Street, is a classic Seattle bungalow that will act as a showcase of unique design ideas, textures, accessories, and drapery and upholstery selections from featured manufacturers. Clients can walk from room to room in Authentic Home, finding inspiration for use of color and enhancements in dcor. A special grand opening party and open house has been scheduled for the evening of June 9, from 5:30 to 8:00.

Both locations offer "Interior Style Guidance," a philosophy that is the heart of the Authentic Home experience and one that is quite different from that of traditional interior design firms. Born from a concept that marries color, fabric and design, "Interior Style Guidance" offers just that - guidance on how to let the clients' personalities, interests and lifestyles shape their environments, instead of offering hard and fast rules on what the designer thinks the finished outcome should be. Banak says she hopes to dispel the idea that you have to spend a lot of money to work with an interior designer. She stresses that her team takes on projects ranging from simple one-hour color consultations to complete home remodels where they truly act as project managers.
