Calling All Budding Writers Create A Website Jingle in North East...

Poseidon Design, signage specialist based in Oldmeldrum, has launched a competition to find 's8220;would-be jingle writers's8221; who fancy trying their hand at creating a short piece in Doric to publicise their services.



The winning jingle will win its writer a uniquely crafted granite house sign worth £100 and the piece will be recorded and incorporated into Poseidon Design's8217;s website.



Using waterjet cutting technology, Poseidon Design craft house and commercial signage as well bespoke gifts. They use high quality local granites, sometimes inlaying these with other materials such as stainless steel or brass.



Marie Crichton, owner commented: 's8220;We are very proud of our Aberdeenshire roots and want to reflect this in our web site. The use of audio on Internet web sites is gaining in popularity and we thought this would add some local flavour and perhaps help visitors understand this part of Scotland better. If the winner is willing, they could even do the voiceover themselves!'s8221;



The jingle should either be written or recorded on tape or CD and sent to Poseidon Design, Coply Way, Oldmeldrum. Alternatively, it can be handed in to Marie at 's8220;Taste of Grampian 2006's8221; at Thainstone, Inverurie on Saturday 10th June. Closing date for the competitions is 23rd June 2006.
