The global crisis summit included the Group of 20 including leaders of Europe and Japan, hosted by President Bush to address the future of financial system reforms.

The G-20 promotes open and constructive discussion between industrial and emerging market countries on key issues related to global economic stability. The G-20 include officials from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the EU, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Additionally, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, the President of the World Bank, the United Nations Secretary-General and the chairman of the financial stability forum, a group consisting of major national financial authorities and international financial bodies, had been invited to participate.
