BloomingKids Software Releases a Writing Program for Children withAutismPDD...

Blooming Kids Software (BloomingKids), a company that creates computer programs designed to teach children who have Autism, PDD and other needs requiring early intervention, has created an additional educational program teaching these children basic handwriting. This program was made in response to requests from parents and educators who asked BloomingKids to extend their product line in this particular direction.

This program teaches students to write letters, numbers, and words, and draw shapes. The programs let the student watch the letter (or number or word or shape) being formed automatically. They also let the student write the letters with guidance from the computer, or by herself/himself.

In this writing program the student can use the computer'ss mouse pointer to draw the letter. Where a touch screen is available, the student can use his or her finger or a probe to write the letter.
