Hard Work the Secret to Long Life for 80 YearOld Who Celebrates Birthday...

Most 80 year-olds celebrate their birthday by kicking back and taking a well-deserved break. But not Richard Esterly. The administrative assistant at Reading, PA-based CMA, an independent medical examination company, showed up for work as usual on March 9th, and didn'st know what all the fuss was about.

According to Jill Heidel, President and CEO, Esterly has never taken a sick day and has taken only one vacation in his adult life. Esterly took care of his parents and his Aunt until their deaths and felt that he couldn'st leave them.

Heidel says, Richard Esterly is 80 years young and still puts in a full day in his position of administrative assistant. What is also remarkable is that Richard has never taken a sick day and since I'sve known him has only had one cold! Not only is he a 7 year veteran of CMA, he is also a veteran of WWII where he served as a medical corpsman.

When the war was over, Esterly attended business school and worked for two Reading, PA companies until his supposed retirement. He found retirement boring and did some volunteer work at his church where he and Heidel met. He began working at CMA in 2000, at the age of 73.

Richard is an inspiration to all of us, said Heidel. He is part of our family here and we know we can count on him being here every day.

CMA is an independent medical examination company based in Reading, PA offering services in the Mid-Atlantic region. CMA has full satellite capabilities throughout Pennsylvania including offices in Central and Western PA. CMA, [www.cmaime.com is located at 1150 Berkshire Blvd, in Wyomissing, PA.
