LoveToKnow Inc. To Use Facebook For UserGenerated CharitableGiving



LoveToKnow, Inc. announced an online campaign through its Facebook page where the company will make a financial donation to one of four non-profit organizations. As part of the campaign, users of the LoveToKnow.com online community will vote on which charity will be the beneficiary of the donation. This continues LoveToKnow'ss longstanding tradition of monthly charitable contributions to non-profits.



Beginning September 1, LoveToKnow will ask users go to the LoveToKnow Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/LoveToKnow/43383149747) to vote among these four non-profits: SHARE Cancer Support, Charity:Water, One World Everybody Eats, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The company will then donate one penny per hundred site visits to the top vote-getter at the end of the month. Regular traffic to the site averages about 10 million visits per month.'s160;



This extends the company'ss track record of involving LoveToKnow community members in charitable giving. A non-profit has been designated in each of the past 14 months, with LoveToKnow donating thousands of dollars to organizations such as the Ovarian Cancer Research Center, The Betty Ford Center, The Children'ss Defense Fund, The Sierra Club and St. Jude'ss Children'ss Hospital.
