OneStorm a Free Online Hurricane Preparedness Program Launches

OneStorm is a free online service designed to fill a need for personal preparedness that became so evident with last year'ss severe hurricane season. Through this service, individuals can create personalized hurricane plans for their families based on location and needs.



After studying American Red Cross, FEMA and local Emergency Management recommendations, OneStorm developed a system that enables users to create, save and print:



1. Shopping lists of preparedness items based on family size

2. Plans for pets and family members with special needs

3. Flood risk and evacuation zone assessments

4. Procedures to accomplish if staying or leaving the area

5. Locations of nearby hurricane shelters, and much more

Municipalities and organizations can provide free hurricane preparedness to their members by following linking instructions found on the home page. Additionally, employers and emergency managers can purchase corporate and community preparedness reports to assess the readiness of their employees and residents.
