Professional Tour Caddies of America Endorses Leupolds GX asOfficial...



The Professional Tour Caddies of America (PTCA) association has endorsed Leupold'ss's174; GX's174; as its official rangefinder.





The PTCA is the official association of PGA TOUR caddies. With the PTCA endorsement and the number of professional caddies who have committed to using our GX in preparation for tournament play, we have moved into the number one position for rangefinders on the PGA TOUR, commented Andy York, Leupold'ss vice president of sales and marketing. As the caddies, PGA TOUR professionals such as Boo Weekley and golfers of all skill levels choose and use GX, word is quickly spreading that GX truly provides the most precise, personalized range on the course.



York noted that GX'ss laser technology sets it apart from other rangefinders, especially GPS-style units. Some golfers may still have the perception that GPS is cooler and performs just as well, he said, but the reality is that laser rangefinders are generally more accurate and can range a wider variety of targets. This is why GPS-style rangefinders are seldom, if ever, used on the PGA TOUR these days.


The tournament-legal GX-I and the advanced GX-II models feature Leupold'ss exclusive PinHunter's8482; Laser Technology for fast, precise distance measurement. The GX-II also offers True Golf Range (TGR's174;) and Club Selector features which work together to give golfers a personalized distance for the shot, and help them choose the right club based on their personal club distance input.



Packed with smart technology, Leupold'ss GX-II rangefinder is the first to provide accurate ranging information matched to the slope of the shot, atmospheric conditions and a golfer'ss specific striking distance.


Both GX models have 6x magnification and can accurately measure distances up to 750 yards/675 meters. They also feature a scan mode that allows users to sweep the landscape while continuously measuring distance. Each model is weatherproof, weighs 6.8 ounces and measures 4 x 2.75 x 1.5 inches.
