On July 5, 2010, Providence Hospitals welcomed SERIO South Carolina providers to the emergency departments (EDs) at Providence Hospital and Providence Hospital Northeast in Columbia. The group of board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners is now caring for patients in the faciliies 24/7.


The group hopes to provide excellent emergency medical care, shorter wait times, and good communication to the people of Columbia under the direction of Medical Director Scott Carroll, MD, FACEP. Carroll is a graduate of a residency program in Columbia, and has years of experience in the area.


Providence Hospital is located on Forest Drive in Columbia. Providence Hospital Northeast is located at I-77 at Farrow Road.
