Marty Hoover and business partner, Tommy Baker, wanted to open a new business where they could utilize their customer service and technical skills to benefit customers. Both men worked for Xerox Corp for over 20 years each. Each voluntarily left Xerox in 2000 to start their own business of providing contract service agents to service Xerox's equipment. In 2002, the two decided to look for a business opportunity that was different and fun while still maintaining their Xerox operation. After an extensive research, the Weed Man franchise was selected to best fit their skills and requirements. They purchased their franchise in 2003 and began marketing to the general public in 2004. They have had a great amount of success following the Weed Man systems and utilizing their personal skills to grow their customer base. Additionally, they decided that the Xerox operation was no longer in their best interest and have exited that business to focus full-time on their Weed Man customers. This business is their future and they will work hard to ensure it delivers what their customers want. Customer service is their utmost priority, which they feel differentiates them from their competition.
