Healthcare CIO Executives Meet to Discuss Procedures to Improve Patient...



April 29, 2005 -- Healthcare facilities are faced with challenges that threaten to outstrip allocated technology resources everyday. The Healthcare CIO Summit, which is taking place on June 12-14, 2005, at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, Scottsdale, AZ, will allow delegates to learn how to increase healthcare information technology adoption across the enterprise to transform the clinical workflow process, improving patient care while reducing operational costs. This event will be co-located with the Healthcare CFO Summit, which will address the financial needs and challenges of CFO's within the same Healthcare facilities.

Keynote presentations will be proposed by William Holman, President and CEO, Baton Rouge General Medical Center, delivering on "Batteries Not Included", and David Veillette, CEO, The Indiana Heart Hospital who will share his knowledge on "All Digital Hospital: Planning to Implementation". Further industry perspectives will be presented by expert presenters Jon P. Burns, Senior Executive & Regional CIO, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation highlighting "EMR Implementation at Cleveland Clinic Ambulatory Clinics Sets"; and Timothy Stettheimer, PhD, CHE, CPHIMS, Southeast Region CIO, Ascension Health, VP & CIO, St. Vincent's Hospital - Birmingham, AL, who will accord his know-how on "Medication-Related Challenges and Opportunities in a Clinical System Implementation".
