It is not a coincidence that Barcelona was the most visited city in Spain last year, as there are few places in Spain with so much variety in landscape and culture as Catalonia. Therefore, we at IMS, have asked our tourism expert David Zynert to give us a list of the must sees in Barcelona, for every taste.

The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Famlia (official Catalan name; Spanish: Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia; "Expiatory Temple of the Holy Family"), often simply called the Sagrada Famlia, is a massive Roman Catholic church under construction in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Construction began in 1882 and continues to this day.

Originally designed by Antoni Gaud (1852 -- 1926), who worked on the project for over 40 years, devoting the last 15 years of his life entirely to the endeavor, the project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. On the subject of the extremely long construction period, Gaud is said to have remarked, "My client is not in a hurry." After Gaud's death in 1926, work continued under the direction of Domnech Sugranyes until interrupted by the Spanish Civil War in 1936.
