Costa d'Este Beach Resort, a world class retreat in Vero Beach, is gaining popularity as its head chef, David Rodriguez was recently profiled in Vero Beach Magazine. The magazine's goal is to make a positive impact on the local community by engaging readers, promoting local business and generating support for non-profit organizations.
The article, titled "His Rhythm is Gonna Get You," provides information on Oriente head chef David Rodriguez's Latin menu. Rodriguez recently came on board to Costa d'Este, which is owned
by Vero Beach residents, Gloria and Emilio Estefan. "Named for the Oriente region of Cuba, the restaurant will pair gourmet Cuban specialties with influences from Spanish, Latin and
Creole traditions," wrote Vero Beach writer Erick Gill. "With a grand opening slated for June, Rodriguez spent part of the winter and spring preparing for the opening of Estefan's latest
establishment by working at their popular Oriente and Larios on the Beach restaurant in Miami Beach.
Rodriguez will be adding his own signature dishes to the menu, such as Vaca Frita, twice-cooked skirt steaks marinated with oregano and bitter orange Mojo and a maki roll with coconut
rice, avocados and piquillo peppers. Rodriguez has also cooked in restaurants in New York City and New Jersey.
