Mingle with a monkey, gab like Glinda or munch next to a munchkin. Starting May 23, the Chicago company of Wicked will offer a new one-of-a-kind opportunity for patrons to make more of their Wicked experience by adding an option to dine in a downtown Chicago restaurant with cast members.



Available on Wednesday evenings before the 7:30 p.m. performance, the package features a special Wicked-themed three-course meal at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel and the Great Street Restaurant (1 West Wacker Drive) and a special gift to commemorate the evening.



We are so excited to offer patrons this one-of-a-kind package, said Mark Tunney, director of sales and marketing at the Chicago hotel. A unique meal at Great Street is the perfect complement to the famous show, and a unique entertainment experience in the Windy City.



The pre-show dinner option at the Chicago hotel is available for $33 per person in addition to the price of a ticket to the show. Packages are available at all points of sale by using the code dinner when ordering tickets through either Broadway In Chicago Box Offices, the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line, (312) 902-1400, or online at ticketmaster.com.



The Chicago company of Wicked is now playing in an open-run at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre, near the downtown Chicago hotel. Breaking multiple box office records since opening in June, 2005 and playing to packed audiences from across the world night after night, the production is the top grossing show in Chicago theatre history.



Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. Directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento, Wicked is currently presented in Chicago, on Broadway at the Gershwin Theatre, on a national tour, in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theatre and in London at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.
