Renaissance Hollywood Hotel Serves as ESPYs Official Host Hotel Fourth...

For the fourth year in a row, the ESPYs will be hosted by the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel and held in the neighboring Kodak Theater. The annual award show will air on Sunday, July 15 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN and will honor the best in athletics for the past year, as chosen by the fans. In addition, the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood, California will play host to the participants of the ESPYs Celebrity Golf Classic, welcoming the Tournament's competitors and serving as the registration location before the big event.

The ESPYs gathers top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. The 2007 ESPYs co-presented by HUMMER and Under Armour will include both sport-specific awards such as Best MLB Player and Best WNBA Player and distinguishing "Best in Sport" awards, categories that pit different sports against each other, such as Best Team or Best Female Athlete. The ESPYs are committed to the advancement of The V Foundation for Cancer Research, established by ESPN with the late Jim Valvano and announced at the inaugural ESPYs in 1993.

Presenters confirmed to attend The 2007 ESPYs include: Dane Cook, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Matt Leinart, Peyton Manning, Michael Phelps, Maria Sharapova, Kate Walsh, Jamie Lynn Sigler, T.I. and Vince Young, with more to be announced in the days leading up to the event. Additionally, Common, Macy Grey, Rocco Deluca and the Dap Kings will perform this year's musical finale.

The ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic is one of two V Foundation fundraising events during the 2007 ESPY Awards televised on ESPN. In conjunction, ESPN Radio will be broadcasting live from the Industry Hills Golf Club for the third annual "Don't Give Up ESPYs V Foundation Auction," also on July 10, 2007. The day-long interactive radiothon -- featuring a variety of items and experiences -- will be promoted on all of ESPN Radio's national programs.
