Swan Island Networks, Inc., a recognized leader in the design and deployment of next-generation trusted information exchange solutions, today announced a successful rollout in Hawaii of the Trusted Information Exchange Service(TIES).
TIES enables diverse public and private organizations with common security concerns to receive and share sensitive information within a "community of trust" -- a community of known,
authenticated and authorized users from different organizations. The types of information shared include maps, real-time situational awareness reports, analysis, and more. The service
helps public safety stakeholders and security professional protect people, property and information.
The Hawaii Hotel and Visitor Industry Security Association (HHVISA) is a non-profit organization of member security professionals in hotel security, retail, convention, and other related
tourist industry businesses across the Hawaiian Islands. HHVISA president and TIES user, Kaleo Keolanui, said, "Hawaii's number one industry is tourism, and protecting our guests and
employees is first and foremost in the minds of our members. Sharing crime and matters of mutual concern with our government partners and across our member organizations is critical. The
TIES service gives us a single and clear view into what could otherwise be a complex string of unrelated events -- making us more effective security professionals."
TIES is a subscription service that offers alert notifications, manages trusted communities and provides the end-to-end security necessary to enable trusted partners to share sensitive
information with which to address man-made or natural threats. TIES also protects sensitive information at rest and in transit, and from any misuse on an end user's device. The service
disseminates alerts and information to targeted receivers only, allowing further information control while protecting users from receiving data that is irrelevant to them.
"Swan Island's focus is on creating services that enable people to exchange vital information in a highly secure, trusted environment," said Charles Jennings, Swan Island Networks CEO.
"We create and manage that environment, and deliver it as an easy-to-use Internet service."
