Making flying in the Bahamas easy for private pilots, recent improvements have been made to airports throughout the islands. Phones have been installed at all airports for free calls to
customs and currently solar operated emergency lighting is being installed at all government airports. There are also three FBOs at North Eleuthera Airport on Eleuthera Island, Marsh
Harbour Airport on Abaco Island and Stella Maris Airport, which was resurfaced and reopened July, 2006, on Long Island, Bahamas.
Many organizations, both government and private sector, have worked hard to make it easier for private pilots flying in the Bahamas, said Elizabeth Vance, President of the Bahama Out
Islands Promotion Board and Private Pilot Advocate. We'sre excited to share recent improvements to Bahamian airports and showcase our private pilot packages.
