ASTD Announces 2009 International Conference Exposition

The American Society for Training 's38; Development (http://www.astd2009.org/) (ASTD) will hold its annual 2009 International Conference 's38; Exposition May 31-June 3, 2009. The event, which attracts thousands of workplace learning and performance professionals from around the world, will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Washington Convention Center.

With more than $5 billion of the massive U.S. economic stimulus package set aside for training, this year'ss Conference promises to provide useful - and practical- information to attendees.

The ASTD 2009 International Conference 's38; Exposition will feature keynote addresses by leaders in the field including:

* Tony Bingham, President and CEO of ASTD. Tony'ss leadership has positioned ASTD at the forefront of trends in learning and workforce development. He will share the latest trends in learning and will provide attendees with new ways to demonstrate the value of leaning and help everyone connect their work to the strategic priorities of business.

* Ren's233;e Mauborgne, an internationally renowned leader in business strategy, innovation, and wealth creation in a knowledge economy. She is the co-author of Blue Ocean Strategy, the author of five worldwide best-selling Harvard Business Review articles, and is a Distinguished Fellow of Strategy and International Management for INSEAD, Europe'ss leading business school.

* Annie Griffiths Belt, an award winning photojournalist for National Geographic whose work has appeared in Life and Fortune. She has several book projects and was the subject of a PBS documentary.

In addition to these speakers the 2009 International Conference 's38; Exposition will feature more than 300 educational sessions and workshops in nine tracks led by experts in workplace learning and performance.
