January 24, 2005 -- Gunshopfinder.com today announced the winner of its "$500 Gun Store Shopping Spree" contest.
Tim Rose of Troy, Illinois won a certificate for $500 for the Belleville Shooting Range in Belleville Illinois. Mr. Rose can use the certificate for any merchandise or services he wants
at the store.
"This was our first contest since launching the site," said Dick Baker, founder of Gunshopfinder.com. "Its purpose was twofold: to encourage people to visit gun and sporting goods stores
they weren't familiar with, and to show the owners of our subscribing stores that potential new customers are seeing their stores on our site."
"As we add more subscribing stores, we're going to conduct the contest again," Baker continued. "We will increase the prize level to an amount that will encourage even more people to
participate."
Gunshopfinder.com is a site where gun and sporting goods stores can promote the products and services they offer. Visitors to the site can search for subscribing stores using a state map,
by town, or by the brands of guns, accessories or services that the stores offer.
"We are still offering a free six-month trial subscription to our service," Baker said. "And we would encourage store owners to take advantage of this offer by contacting us. The site
offers our subscribing stores far more exposure than they would receive from more traditional advertising venues."
"What's more, there simply has not been a site like this on the internet until we launched Gunshopfinder.com."
