Kubota Tractor Corporation Takes Aggressive Leadership Role in Conservation...

In an unprecidented move, Kubota Tractor Corporation is dedicating major resources to the conservation of upland wildlife in the U.S. working to restore habitat on a landscape basis working with Quail Unlimited.

"What Quail Unlimited is announcing today, can only be described as a ground breaking conservation sponsorship initiative" stated Rocky Evans, President of Quail Unlimited (QU).

"Kubota Tractor Corporation now leads the way in activation of a major on-the-ground exclusive sponsorship commitment with Quail Unlimited. This is a very strong commitment to our nation's wildlife and the habitat so desperately needed to sustain an outdoor way of life," Evans said. "Not only are they supporting our wildlife heritage by a long term commitment to QU as the Official Tractors and Utility Vehicles, Kubota is committing hard resources to national, regional and local chapter programs from support to new grant initiatives empowering our members to complete habitat projects. But they did not stop there; we are so very honored to announce that Kubota will also be the presenting sponsor of our new Habitat Improvement Teams (HIT) nation wide, a concept to help private and public landowners learn how to complete habitat work on their lands. Kubota is a corporation whose exceptional products and conservation vision combined with the expertise of QU, will quickly and directly have a landscape impact on our nation's private and public forests, grasslands and farmlands in a most positive way."

"World renowned for their uncompromising quality, bold innovation and technical expertise, Kubota further brings an exceptional equipment source critical for habitat success," concluded Evans.

QU, through its dedicated chapter members coast to coast, is leading the charge to restore the natural habitat of wild quail, working with private landowners as well as state and federal agencies across the country with unprecedented partnerships. By putting on local events and fundraisers, QU chapters raise conservation dollars that are then used for on the ground projects in their area.

"The challenge for any corporation or individual is to find the right partners to make a difference in our environment" stated Tetsuji (Mike) Tomita, President of Kubota Tractor Corporation. "Conservation, preservation and enhancement of our natural resources are major focus points of Kubota. As a Premier Sponsor with Quail Unlimited, we clearly see the ability to bring that message through our Kubota dealers and QU local chapters. Integration of habitat knowledge, on the ground projects, training and application combined with specific equipment requirements will accelerate the goal of habitat enhancement in a most cost effective way" said Mike. "Kubota is very user focused, and using our equipment for conservation practices and habitat management is where we want to be with Quail Unlimited" Mike concluded. Kubota Tractor Corporation leads the nation's market in the compact tractor category (up to 50 HP) with a commitment to service and satisfaction through it's over 1,000 dealers.

Quail Unlimited (QU) is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to the restoration of habitat for wild quail. Its almost 300 chapters nationwide raise local project dollars for on-the-ground projects, including private and public land management with banquets, auctions, sporting clay events and more. QU has a highly trained staff of biologists, state and regional directors and dedicated members that work with private landowners and state and federal agencies to restore quail populations. In 2005, Quail Unlimited chapters and partners invested over $2.2 million dollars in quail habitat improvements. For more information on QU, and membership go to the website at
