March 1, 2005 -- Three new varmint-style single shot rifles are being offered in the H&R firearms line. They are mounted in an adjustable high-tech synthetic varmint stock, and
feature 24-inch fluted bull barrels. The rifles are chambered for three of the most popular center-fire varmint cartridges: 22-250 Rem, 223 Rem and 204 Ruger.
A new Handi-Rifle is also being offered in the potent new 500 S&W. It features a 22-inch barrel and a walnut-finished hardwood stock. H&R continues to expand their line of
imported shotguns.
The new H&R Excel Auto 5 is a five-shot self-loading 12-gauge shotgun that is available in several configurations. It comes with a black synthetic stock, a walnut stock, or dipped in
either Realtree Advantage Hardwoods for turkey hunters, or Realtree Advantage Wetlands for water-fowlers. It's also available as a combo with a 12-gauge 28" vent rib barrel and a 24"
rifled barrel with fiber optic sights.
All models feature pistol grip stocks with recoil pads, 3-inch chambers and ventilated rib barrels with four choke tubes (except the slug barrel).
Also offering a pair of H&R over-and-under shotguns at very attractive prices. The Pinnacle Shotgun models are available in 12- and 20-gauge, and feature single selective triggers,
automatic selective ejectors, and vent rib barrels with three choke tubes. The stocks are checkered walnut shotgun with recoil pads.
The Topper Deluxe Classic Shotgun, H&R's first single shot shotgun with a vent rib, will now be available in both 12- and 20-gauge.
And the popular Pardner Pump 12-gauge shotgun is now available as a combo with a rifled slug barrel, in a turkey configuration with a Mossy Oak Break-UpTM camo finish, and a black
synthetic-stocked model.
