Quail Unlimited (QU), America's8217;s leader in quail conservation, announced today the addition of Craig A. Alderman to their staff as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
's8220;We are very pleased that Craig has joined our staff. He brings a unique and specialized skill set in working with marketing and sponsorship programs especially in the conservation
and wildlife management areas. His passion for quail and wildlife management is reflected in the book he wrote entitled Habitat Management Using ATVs and Compact Equipment and the habitat
seminars he teaches, which extend to his own property as he practices private land management. In fact, Craig encourages and assists other landowners to get involved,'s8221; stated Rocky
Evans, President of QU. 's8220;Working with ESPN, Craig negotiated and managed some of the largest sponsorship programs in the outdoor industry and helped create and fund conservation
grant programs for the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS),'s8221; continued Evans, 's8220;We could not be more excited that Craig will now help QU continue the 25 years of leading
quail habitat projects through its local chapters.'s8221;
QU, through its dedicated chapter members coast to coast, is leading the charge to restore the natural habitat of wild quail, working with private landowners as well as state and federal
agencies across the country with unprecedented partnerships. By putting on local events and fundraisers, QU chapters raise conservation dollars that are then used for on the ground
projects in their area.
's8220;Quail Unlimited has a clear, central focus that I absolutely support, restoring the wild quail to its natural ranges. That is the mission and there are no other agendas, no other
focus,'s8221; emphasized Alderman. 's8220;Everything they do is focused on benefiting and solidly supporting the local chapters to enable them to get projects rolling in their home
towns's8221;, Alderman stated. 's8220;I am very proud to be able to say that I am now part of that dedicated family and hope we can grow the already substantial successes they have
accomplished in many states but there is much more to do,'s8221; Craig said. 's8220;Nothing comes close to QU in terms of successful quail management. In fact, it is because of Quail
Unlimited that I am so personally involved with habitat management today.I saw the work they were doing many years ago when no one else fought for the quail and its dwindling habitat, and
knew I had to do my part,'s8221; Alderman concluded.
Quail Unlimited is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the restoration of habitat for wild quail. Its almost 300 chapters nationwide raise local project dollars for on-the-ground
projects, including private and public land management with banquets, auctions, sporting clay events and more. QU has a highly trained staff of biologists, state and regional directors
and dedicated members that work with private landowners and state and federal agencies to restore quail populations. In 2005, Quail Unlimited chapters and partners invested over 2.2
million dollars quail habitat improvements. For more information on QU, go to the website at http://www.qu.org.
