Hayward Baker, a geotechnical company, with offices in the US and Canada, has been using QSI'ss QTERM-G70 for their applications in P's233;ribonka, Quebec where temperatures range from -20 to 24 's176;C (-4 to 75 's176;F). Additional strains to hardware are the extreme environmental conditions including rain, snow and wind.
With rigorous conditions like those in P's233;ribonka, the QTERM-G70 was put to the test and met the required demands for the application, said QSI'ss Senior Sales Engineer Glen Johnson.
Our in-house environmental testing ensures that all units will perform under extreme conditions. The G70 produced for Hayward Baker meets NEMA-4 sealing requirements and is temperature
rated from -30 to 80 's176;C (-22 to 176 's176;F).
For the P's233;ribonka project, the QTERM-G70 replaces dated gauges and manual processes that were being relied on to get accurate data and make minute, yet pivotal changes with
monitoring various flow rates, pressures, temperatures and consistencies, said Fritz Achhorner, Corporate Engineer at Hayward Baker.
QSI Corporation, manufacturer of rugged terminals since 1984, serves various applications in the geotechnical and oil and gas industries, including concrete pumping, coiled tubing,
pumping stations and data acquisition. QSI performs rigorous environmental testing on all terminals including operating/storage temperature, humidity, thermal shock, sealing,
operating/storage vibration, physical shock, physical drop, ESD, dust, windblown rain and dust, power-line transients, EMI, EMC, key press and acceptance burn-in.
The success of the QTERM-G70 under these conditions opens up additional geotechnical applications for QSI, said Glen Johnson. Our terminals are designed to perform under strenuous
conditions. This has a direct impact on our end users bottom line as they do not experience downtown due to hardware issues.
